The E2CC consortium gathered in Rennes on 23-24 September for a face-to-face meeting hosted by IRISA, bringing together project partners to review progress, discuss ongoing activities and plan the next stages of development.

The meeting combined plenary sessions with dedicated breakout discussions, providing opportunities for both consortium-wide exchanges and more focused technical conversations. Partners shared updates on their work and discussed how ongoing developments across the project can be aligned in the months ahead.

A key highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the first demonstrations of components developed within E2CC running in the project's shared environment. These demonstrations enabled partners to exchange feedback, identify technical challenges and discuss the next steps towards broader integration of project results.

The programme covered a wide range of E2CC technologies and services, including BMaaS capabilities, orchestration and monitoring, AI and MLOps solutions for Edge-Cloud environments, decarbonisation services, identity and access management, key management and data protection mechanisms. Partners also reviewed the project's reference architecture, discussed integration activities across technical domains, and coordinated upcoming deployments and validation activities.

Beyond the technical programme, the meeting offered valuable opportunities for collaboration and networking. Participants also took part in a social event in Rennes city centre, further strengthening relationships across the consortium.

As noted during the meeting, face-to-face gatherings remain an important driver of collaboration within E2CC, creating the conditions for fruitful discussions and helping partners make significant progress in their work. Building on the momentum created in Rennes, the consortium is already looking ahead to its next in-person meeting, expected to take place in Toulouse in January 2027.
